Enable or Disable Chat List Filters

Prerequisites  

  • Stable Internet: A stable internet connection is required for changes in your settings to be applied and saved across your account.
     

How to Enable or Disable Chat List Filters

Android
  • Tap the  more menu on the Chats screen.
  • Go to Settings→Personalize.
  • Find the Chat list filters toggle.
  • Toggle it On to apply the filter tabs to your main screen.
  • Toggle it Off to return to a single, unified chat list.

iOS
  • Go to Settings from the bottom navigation bar.
  • Tap on Chats.
  • Find Chat list filters.
  • Toggle it On to show filter tabs or Off to remove them.

Web
  • Click the  more menu on the Chats screen.
  • Go to Settings→Appearance.
  • Find Chat list filters.
  • Toggle it On to apply the filters at the top of your chat list or Off to hide them.

 

FAQs  

1. What happens when I disable Chat List Filters?
All your conversations will appear in a single, unified chat list. The Direct, Groups, and Channels tabs will no longer be shown.

2. Will disabling filters delete or hide any chats?
No. Disabling filters only changes how chats are displayed. No chats, messages, or channels are removed or hidden.

3. Can I still see unread messages without filters enabled?
Yes. Unread messages will still be highlighted within the chat list, but they will not have a dedicated Unread filter.
