Android
As a host, you can initiate a meeting instantly.
To start an instant meeting:
  1. Select Meet now in the Meetings section of the app bottom navigation bar.
    (If not enabled already, Arattai would need specific permissions, such as microphone and camera access, to proceed with the meeting.)

  2. On the joining screen, tap Start meeting.
  3. Now that your meeting has begun, you can invite participants by either copying the meeting invitation/link and sharing it with users or adding your contacts directly using Add participants. You can also invite non-Arattai users by sending the invite to their mobile number or email address. 
    Note: For instant meetings, the waiting room feature will be enabled by default. You can disable the waiting room if needed
  4. Tap the icon to share your screen.
  5. Tap to:
    • Scale to fit/fill screen

    • Invite participants

    • Access the meeting chat

    • Record the meeting

    • Access permissions for the specific meeting, where you can:

      • Enable a waiting room* for participants.

      • Decide who can view the meeting recording.

      • Mute participants upon entry.

      • Enable/disable participants' videos.

      • Enable/disable users from sharing their screens.

    1. Access meeting details, where as a host, you can edit the meeting title, password, and the agenda.

  3. Tap   to :
    • Invite participants
    • Access meeting details
    • Record the meeting
    • Share your screen
    • Open the meeting chat
    • Scale to fit/fill the screen
    • Access permissions for the specific meeting, where you can:
      • Apply custom branding to the meeting
      • Enable a waiting room* for participants
      • Decide who can view the meeting recording
      • Mute participants upon entry
      • Enable/disable participants' videos
      • Enable/disable users from sharing their screens


Web
As a host, you can initiate the meeting instantly.
To start an instant meeting: 
    1. Click the  icon and select Meetings



    2. Click   Meet now. If not enabled already, Arattai would need specific permissions, such as microphone and camera access, to proceed with the meeting.

    3. Alternatively, you can also start a meeting directly from your homescreen. Click on above your chat list and select Meet now. 

    4. Now that your meeting has begun, you can invite participants by copying the meeting invitation/link and sharing it with users or adding your contacts directly using Add participants. You can also invite non-Arattai users by sending the invite to their mobile number or email address.


      Note: For instant meetings, the waiting room feature will be enabled by default. You can disable the waiting room if needed.

    5. Click on   to: 

      • Invite participants

      • View meeting details

      • Record the meeting

      • Share screen

      • Scale to fit/fill the screen

      • Access settings, where you can:

        • Set backgrounds and video filters.

        • Set   preferences like enabling the waiting room* for participants, muting participants upon entry, allowing participants to turn on video, and allowing participants to screen-share.


    *When the waiting room for participants has been enabled, the participants won't be able to enter the meeting. Participants will be in a virtual waiting room, and, as the host, you can manually grant them permission. This is an additional layer of security for the meeting.

    Note that you cannot invite participants beforehand and must invite them on the go.
