Chat Without Saving Number

Start a conversation with any phone number instantly without saving it to your contacts. 

Prerequisites  

  • Stable Internet: A stable internet connection is required to start a chat.
  • Privacy Settings: You can start a chat only if the recipient’s privacy settings allow messages from your number. If their settings restrict messages, you may not be able to start the conversation.

How to Chat Without Saving the Number

  • Tap the ＋ plus icon at the bottom right of your Chats screen.
  • A list of your Arattai contacts will appear.
  • Tap on the  search icon at the top.
  • Type the entire phone number of the user. 
  • The user's profile will appear, tap Chat.
  • The chat screen for that user will open, and you can now start to chat.

iOS
  • Tap the ＋ plus icon at the bottom right of your Chats screen.
  • A list of your Arattai contacts will appear.
  • Tap on the search bar at the top.
  • Type the entire phone number of the user. 
  • The user's profile will appear, tap Chat.
  • The chat screen for that user will open, and you can now start to chat.

Web
  • Click the ＋ plus icon on the top right of your chat list.
  • Click New message.
  • Your contacts will appear.
  • Type the entire phone number of the user. 
  • The user's profile will appear, click on it.
  • The chat screen for that user will open, and you can now start to chat.

  • Open the Chats screen and tap on the search bar on top.
  • Type the entire phone number of the user. 
  • The user's profile will appear, tap Chat.
  • The chat screen for that user will open, and you can now start to chat.

  • In the Chats screen, click on the search bar at the top.
  • Type the entire phone number of the user. 
  • The user's profile will appear, click on it.
  • The chat screen for that user will open, and you can now start to chat.

Note:   
  • If the user has restricted who can start a chat with them in their privacy settings, you may not be able to message them. 
  • Enter the number with the country code when contacting users outside your logged in country.  
  • If the user is not on Arattai, you will be shown an Invite option on your mobile device. Learn more about inviting to Arattai.
