Invite to Arattai

Prerequisites  

  • Stable Internet: A stable internet connection is required for smooth functioning.
  • Permissions: Ensure your device allows Arattai to access your contacts.
  • SMS Application: Your device must have an active SMS application to send the invitation message.

How to Invite a Contact  

Your friend isn’t on Arattai yet? Send them an invite!
We'll notify you as soon as they join, and you can start chatting right away.

From Chats

  • Open your Chats screen. Scroll down to the bottom, and you'll find an Invite Friends option.
    • If you haven't started any chats, you will find this option at the top.

  • Tap this option to open a list of your contacts who aren't on Arattai.
  • Tap the profile of the person you want to invite.
  • Tap Invite to Arattai.
  • This will open your device's SMS application with a pre-written invitation message and a link to download Arattai.
  • You can review and edit the message if needed.
  • Send the SMS invitation.
Note: Tap Share Arattai and copy the message to send it via other platforms.

  • Tap the＋plus icon at the bottom right of your Chats screen.
  • Scroll down the contact list. Beneath the Arattai users, you will find Invite to Arattai, a list of non-arattai-users from your contacts.
  • Tap Invite next to the contact you wish to invite.
    • Or, tap ••• more menu → Invite friends.
    • Tap the profile of the person you want to invite.
  • This will open your device's SMS application with a pre-written invitation message and a link to download Arattai.
  • You can review and edit the message if needed.
  • Send the SMS invitation.

FAQs

1. What if the person I invite doesn't download the app?
They'll receive the invite link but won't be able to chat until they install Arattai and create an account.

2. Can I invite someone using their email address?
Invites are sent through your phone’s native sharing options using the recipient’s phone number. Alternatively, you can copy the invite link and share it through any platform, including email.
