A Chat Link lets anyone open a conversation with you on Arattai without saving your phone number or using your username in their contacts. Currently, this option is supported on Android and web, and will be available on other clients soon.
This feature is useful when you want people to quickly start a conversation with you using a simple link.
What Happens When Someone Opens a Chat Link
When a user clicks or taps your Chat Link:
Arattai opens a chat with you. The user does not need to save the contact.
If a message is included in the link, it appears automatically in the chat composer.
The user can edit the message before sending.
You can create Chat Links using either a phone number or a username:
Using a phone number
Basic link:
https://aratt.ai/message/91-999XXXXXXX
With a pre filled message:
https://aratt.ai/message/91-999XXXXXXX?text=Hello
Notes:
• Always include the country code
• Do not include spaces
Using a username
Basic link:
https://aratt.ai/message/@username
With a pre filled message:
https://aratt.ai/message/@username?text=Hello
Using the Text Parameter
When you add ?text= to the link, the content provided after it is automatically filled into the chat composer.
Example:
https://aratt.ai/message/@username?text=Hi
This helps users to start conversations faster, especially for common requests like support or enquiries.
If the message contains spaces or special characters, make sure it is URL encoded.
Example:
https://aratt.ai/message/@username?text=Hi%20I%20need%20help
Where Can You Use Chat Links
You can place Chat Links anywhere you want users to initiate a conversation, such as:
• Websites and landing pages
• Social media profiles and bios
• Email signatures
• QR codes
• Marketing campaigns and ads
