Send Voice Notes
Prerequisites
- Stable Internet: A stable internet connection is required for smooth functioning.
- Permissions: Ensure Arattai has permission to access your device's microphone.
How to Send Voice Notes
You can send voice notes to your contacts with a quick tap-and-hold method or a hands-free option to record longer messages.
Quick Recording
This method is ideal for short messages and sends the voice note instantly.

- Open any chat.
- You will find a
mic icon on the right of the typing bar.
- Tap and hold the mic icon to start recording.
- Release your finger, and the voice note is sent instantly.
- To cancel the recording, swipe left while still holding the mic icon.

Hands-free Recording
This method allows you to record longer messages without having to hold the button. You can also review your message before sending it.

- Open any chat.
- You will find a
mic icon on the right of the typing bar.
- Tap and hold the
mic icon.
- Swipe up towards the
lock icon to start hands-free recording.
- While recording, you have three options:
- Tap the
stop icon to pause the recording.
- Tap Cancel to discard the entire voice note.
- Tap the
send icon to send the voice note directly without pausing.
- After tapping the stop icon, you will see a preview of your message with three new options:
- Tap the
play icon to listen to your message before sending.
- Tap the
delete icon to erase the recording.
- Tap the
send icon to send the voice note.
