Archive a Chat
Prerequisites
- Stable Internet: A stable internet connection is required to sync your archived chats across devices.
How Archiving Works
Archiving a chat helps you keep your chat list clean and organized without deleting your conversation history. It removes the chat from the chat list and will be listed separately under Archived.
Note:
- By default, a chat will reappear in your main chat list when you receive a new message.
- Muted chats will remain archived even when a new message is received.
- To keep the chat archived even after receiving a new message, you must mute the chat.

- Go to your Chats screen.
- Tap and hold the chat you want to archive.
- Tap the Archive in the menu that appears.
- The chat will be archived.
iOS
- Go to your Chats screen.
- Tap and hold the chat you want to archive.
- Tap Archive in the menu that appears.
- An Undo option will appear at the bottom for 3 seconds. Tap Undo to revert the action.
- After the timer runs out, the chat will be archived.
Web
- Go to your Chats screen.
- Place the cursor on the chat you want to archive.
- Click the
more menu. Select Archive.
- A message with an Undo option will appear at the top. Click Undo to revert the action.
How to View Archived Chats
You can view your archived chats from your chat list.

- Tap Archived chats.
- All your archived chats will be listed here.

more menu in the top-right corner.
- Tap Archived chats.
- All your archived chats will be listed here.
Web
- Go to your Chats screen.
- You will find Archived chats at the top of the chats.
- Click it to view the archived chats.
How to Unarchive a Chat
Once you have opened your list of archived chats, you can follow these steps to unarchive a chat.

- Go to your Chats screen.
- Tap the
more menu in the top-right corner.
- Tap Archived chats.
- Tap and hold the chat you want to unarchive.
- Tap the Unarchive in the menu that appears.
- The chat will be unarchived and will again be visible on your chat list.
