Star Messages on Arattai: Save and Find Important Info

Star a Message

Prerequisites

  • Stable Internet : A stable internet connection is required to star messages and ensure they are synced and visible across all your devices.

How to Star a Message

You can star important messages to easily find them later. Starring a message lets you save important information like addresses, phone numbers, or key updates so you can easily find it later. Starred messages stay marked until you unstar them, and you can view them in the original chat or in one place across all your chats.

  • Touch and hold on the message you want to star.
  • Tap Star in the menu that appears.
  • The message will now be starred.

  • Touch and hold on the message you want to star.

  • Place your cursor over the message you want to star.
  • A star icon will appear on the bottom right of the message.
  • Click on the  star icon.
  • The message will now be starred.

 How to Unstar a Message

  • Touch and hold on the starred message you want to unstar.
  • Tap Unstar in the menu that appears.
  • The message will no longer be starred.

  • Touch and hold on the starred message you want to unstar.
  • Tap Unstar in the menu that appears.
  • The message will no longer be starred.

  • A star icon will appear on the starred messages
  • Place your cursor over the starred message you want to unstar.
  • Click on the  star icon.
  • The message will no longer be starred.

 ​Note: A message is automatically unstarred in the following cases:

  • If the message is deleted.

  • If the user leaves the channel. If the user rejoins, the starred message will reappear in the list.

  • If the user leaves and deletes the group chat. 


How to View Starred Messages

For a Specific Chat

View starred messages from a specific chat.

  • Open the chat from which you want to view starred messages.
  • Tap your friend's contact name at the top of the chat.
  • Their profile screen will open. 
  • Tap Starred messages.
  • Starred messages from this specific chat will be visible here.
  • Tap it to redirect to the message on chat.

  • Open the chat from which you want to view starred messages.
  • Tap your friend's contact name at the top of the chat.
  • Their profile screen will open. 
  • Tap Starred messages.
  • Starred messages from this specific chat will be visible here.
  • Tap it to redirect to the message on chat.
  • Touch and hold the starred message to unstar, forward or copy it.

  • Open the chat from which you want to view starred messages.
  • Click your friend's contact name at the top of the chat.
  • Their profile panel will open. 
  • Click Starred messages.
  • Starred messages from this specific chat will be visible here.
  • Tap it to redirect to the message on chat.

All Starred Messages

View starred messages across all chats in one space.

  • Tap Starred messages.
  • All the messages you have starred from any chat will be visible here.
  • Tap any to redirect to the message on chat.

  • Tap Starred Messages.
  • All the messages you have starred from any chat will be visible here.
  • Tap any to redirect to the message on chat.
  • Touch and hold the starred message to unstar, forward or copy it.

  • Click the  star icon on the left of your chat list.
  • All the messages you have starred from any chat will be visible here.
  • Tap any to redirect to the message on chat.
