Scan Documents
You can use Arattai’s in-app document scanner to quickly capture, edit, and share high-quality scans of your documents.
Prerequisites
Stable Internet: A stable internet connection is required to send the scanned document.
Permissions: Ensure to allow Arattai to use your device's Camera.
How to Scan a Document

- Open the chat where you want to send the document.
- Tap the
attachment icon on the message bar.
- Tap Doc scan. The document scanner will open.
- You can either scan or upload images from your gallery.
- Position your device's camera over the document. The scanner will automatically detect the edges and capture the image. You can also choose Manual and capture the image by tapping the circle button.
- After the first page is captured, tap the
add page icon below the image to scan more pages.
- You can now Crop the image, Rotate it, apply different Filters, or Delete the page if it's not needed. You also have the option to Retake the photo.
- Once you're satisfied with your edits, tap Next.
- A dialog box will appear, choose the format you want to send the document in, you can either send as image or as PDF.
- View in preview and tap the
send icon.
- The scanned document will be sent in the chat.
iOS
- Open the chat where you want to send the document.
- Tap the
plus icon on the message bar.
- Tap Scan from the options. The document scanner will open.
- Position your device's camera over the document. The scanner will automatically detect the edges and capture the image. You can also manually capture the image by tapping the capture button.
- After the first page is captured, the camera will remain open, allowing you to scan additional pages.
- Once you have scanned all the pages, tap on the thumbnail of the scanned image in the bottom-left corner.
- You can now Crop the image, Rotate it, apply different Filters, or Delete the page. You also have the option to Retake the photo.
- Once you're satisfied with your edits, tap Done.
- Tap Save to process the scan.
- A final preview of the document will be shown before it's sent.
- Tap the
send icon to share the document in the chat.
