Delete Your Account

Prerequisites  

  • Stable Internet: A stable internet connection is required for smooth functioning.
  • Access to Mobile Number: You must have access to the mobile number registered to your Arattai account to receive the One-Time Password (OTP).
     

What Happens When You Delete Your Account  

Deleting your Arattai account is a permanent action that cannot be undone. Here's a quick summary of what will happen:
  • All your messages and data are erased: All of your messages, media, and cloud chats are permanently deleted.
  • Your profile is removed: Your account, phone number, and username (if set) are no longer associated with Arattai.
  • Your username becomes available: Others can claim your old username once your account is deleted.
  • You are removed from all groups and channels: You will automatically be removed from any group or channel you joined or created. Your messages in groups will stay, but your profile will show as "Deleted Account."
  • You can't restore it later: Once deleted, there's no way to recover the account or its data. You will need to create a new account if you want to use Arattai again.

  • Open the ☰ more menu on the top left of your chat list.
  • Tap Settings → Accounts.
  • Tap Delete account.
  • Enter your mobile number and tap Continue.
  • An OTP will be sent to your SMS.
  • Type the OTP and tap Delete Account.
  • A dialogue box will appear asking for confirmation. Tap Delete to confirm.
  • Your account will be deleted.

iOS
  • Open Settings → Accounts.
  • Tap Delete account.
  • Enter your mobile number and tap Continue.
  • An OTP will be sent to your SMS.
  • Type the OTP and tap Delete.
  • A dialogue box will appear asking for confirmation. Tap Delete to confirm.
  • Your account will be deleted.

Web
  • Open the ☰ more menu on the bottom left of your chat list.
  • Click Settings → Accounts.
  • Click Delete account.
  • Enter your mobile number and click Continue.
  • An OTP will be sent to your SMS.
  • Type the OTP and click Delete Account.
  • A dialogue box will appear asking for confirmation. 
  • Tick the check box and click Delete Account to confirm.
  • Your account will be deleted.
