Arattai is updating its app security system. The Passcode lock feature will be deprecated and replaced with biometric authentication (Fingerprint or Face Unlock) on supported Android devices.
What is Changing
Starting 30 May 2026, the Passcode lock feature in Arattai Android will be deprecated. This means:
New passcodes cannot be created
Existing passcodes will continue to work
Existing passcodes cannot be changed
Biometric unlock will become the recommended way to secure your app
If Your Device Supports Biometrics
(Fingerprint or Face Unlock available)
You should enable biometric unlock to keep your app protected.
To enable biometric unlock:
Open Arattai
Go to Settings
Tap Security & Privacy
Tap App lock
Turn ON Unlock with biometrics
Verify using your fingerprint or face
Once enabled:
You can unlock Arattai using biometrics
Your existing passcode will still work
After deprecation, your passcode cannot be changed
If Your Device Does NOT Support Biometrics
You can continue using your existing passcode.

Before the deprecation date, you may see an alert such as:
"Passcode is being deprecated"
This is a reminder to enable biometric unlock if your device supports it.
