Tap the
more menu on the Chats screen. Go to Settings→Notifications.
You will find the controls for Direct messages, Group, Channel, and Message reactions as separate sections.
Each of these sections will show Message preview option with a checkbox.
Check the box to view or uncheck the box to hide message previews.
iOS
Go to Settings→Notifications & Sounds.
You will find the controls for Direct Messages & Mentions, Group Messages, Channel Messages, and Message reactions as separate sections.
Each of these sections will show Message preview option with a toggle.
Toggle it On to view or toggle it Off to hide message previews.
Web
Click the

Next to Notification preview will be a toggle switch.
Toggle it On to view or toggle it Off to hide message previews.

FAQs
1. What happens when I hide message previews?
When message previews are hidden, notification banners or pop-ups will not display the message content.
2. Does hiding message previews stop notifications completely?
No. You will still receive notifications. Only the preview content is hidden.
3. Can I control message previews separately for chats, groups, and channels?
Yes. On mobile devices, message previews can be managed separately for Direct Messages, Groups, Channels, and Message Reactions. On the web, the setting applies to all notification types.
4. Are message preview settings synced across devices?
No. Message preview settings are device-specific and must be configured separately on each device.
