Hide or View Message Previews
Prerequisites
- Stable Internet: A stable internet connection is required for the timely delivery of notifications.
- Device Permissions: Ensure your device allows Arattai to send you notifications.
How to Hide or View Message Previews
This setting controls whether the message sender's name and message content are visible in the notification banner (mobile) or pop-up (desktop).
You can enable or disable message previews for:
- Direct Messages
- Groups
- Channels
- Message Reactions
Note: Notification settings do not sync across multiple devices and are managed independently.

- Tap the
more menu on the Chats screen.
- Go to Settings→Notifications.
- You will find the controls for Direct messages, Group, Channel, and Message reactions as separate sections.
- Each of these sections will show Message preview option with a checkbox.
- Check the box to view or uncheck the box to hide message previews.
iOS
- Go to Settings→Notifications & Sounds.
- You will find the controls for Direct Messages & Mentions, Group Messages, Channel Messages, and Message reactions as separate sections.
- Each of these sections will show Message preview option with a toggle.
- Toggle it On to view or toggle it Off to hide message previews.
Web
- Click the
more menu on the Chats screen.
- Go to Settings→Notifications.
- Next to Notification preview will be a toggle switch.
- Toggle it On to view or toggle it Off to hide message previews.
Note: This action will apply commonly to all types of notification previews
