Prerequisites
Understanding Story Visibility
Story Display: The Stories screen shows the recently added stories and lists the viewed stories separately. The Stories will be listed as:
Recents - All newly added, unseen Stories are listed here in a grid view and will remain here till you view them.
Viewed - Once you have fully viewed all Stories from a contact. Their stories will be listed here as story circles.
How to View a Story
From the Stories Screen:
Stories from a contact stay in the grid view under Recents till you view them, once you have viewed all the stories a contact has posted, you can view them under Viewed.
Mobile
Tap on the
Stories tab to open Stories screen. Tap on any story to view it.
Tap right on the story to view the next story and tap left to view the previous one.
Swipe down to close the story.
New story updates will be indicated in the Stories tab
, and will remain visible until you visit the Stories screen.

Pause and Mute:
Mobile
Open the contact's Story.
To Pause, tap and hold the screen, this will freeze the story and prevent it from auto running. Release the screen to resume.
Mute option is not available on mobile devices.
FAQs
1. Who can view a Story?
Story visibility depends on the privacy settings chosen by the user who posted it. You may only see Stories shared with you based on their selected audience or contact permissions.
2. Why can’t I see someone’s Story even though they are on my contact list?
This may happen if the user has changed their privacy settings, excluded you from their viewing audience, or has not posted any active Stories.
3. Can I pause a Story while watching it?
Yes. Press and hold the screen to pause the Story. It will continue when you release your finger.
4. Will a contact be notified if I like their Stories?
No. Currently, Arattai does not send any notifications for Story likes.
