FAQs
1. What happens if I turn off Contacts Sync?
New contacts added to your device will no longer be synced with Arattai.
2. Does turning off Contacts Sync delete my existing Arattai contacts?
No. Turning off Contacts Sync does not delete your existing Arattai contacts.
3. Is my contact data used for marketing?
No. Synced contacts are used only to help you connect with people on Arattai.
4. Can I sync contacts via the web?
No. Contact sync is supported only on mobile devices (Android and iOS). Contact syncing is not available on the web.
5. Is Contacts Sync an account-level setting?
No. Contacts Sync is a device-specific setting. Each device linked to your account manages contact syncing independently.
6. What happens if the same account is logged in on multiple devices with different contact names for the same phone number?
Contacts remain device-specific. If the same phone number is saved with different names on different devices, each device will display the contact name saved locally on that device.
Example:
On Device A, a number is saved as ABC.
On Device B, the same number is saved as EFG.
Each device will display its own saved contact name (ABC on Device A and EFG on Device B).
If you log in on the web, the contact name from the most recently synced device will be displayed.
7. What happens if a contact is deleted from the phone-book?
The contact will remain synced.
