Share Your Screen on Calls

Prerequisites  

  • Stable Internet: A stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) is required for making and receiving calls.
  • Permissions: 
    • Arattai requires access to your device's Microphone (for voice) and Camera (for video). 
    • Ensure your device allows Call notifications to receive calls from Arattai.

How to Share Your Screen on Audio or Video Call

Screen sharing:

  • On the ongoing call screen, tap  more menu.
  • Tap "Start screen share".
  • Your device will ask permission to share screen, allow the request.
  • Once you are done sharing, tap Stop screen sharing on the ongoing call screen.
  • A confirmation dialog box will appear.
  • Tap Stop sharing.

Share your device audio while screen sharing:

  • On the ongoing screen sharing, tap  device audio.
  • You will be asked with permission to share the audio of music, video and other app sounds.
  • Tap "Share audio".
  • Your device audio will also be shared with the screen sharing.

Annotate the screen while screen sharing:

  • On the ongoing screen sharing, tap annotator.
  • Select the annotating tool such as pen, brushes, colour and stroke.
  • Once selected you can able to annotate the screen which your sharing and it will be present until the screen sharing is active.
  • You can also undo, redo and delete the annotation from the screen anytime.
iOS
  • On the ongoing call screen, tap  more menu.
  • Tap Start screen share.
  • Your device will ask permission to share screen Start Broadcast, allow the request.
  • Once you are done sharing, tap Stop screen sharing on the ongoing call screen.
  • Your device will ask permission to stop screen share, confirm it.

Web
  • On the ongoing call display, tap  more menu.
  • Tap Start screen share.
  • Your device will ask permission to share screen, allow the request.
  • Once you are done sharing, tap Stop on the ongoing call screen.

 FAQs  

1. Does screen sharing include audio from my device?
Only on Android devices you can choose to share screen with or without audio. Audio sharing is not supported on iOS and Web.

2. Can I switch apps while sharing my screen?
Yes. Anything visible on your screen while sharing will be shown.

3. Is my screen sharing is end to end encrypted?
Yes. Screen sharing is end to end encrypted.
