Pin a Chat

Pin a chat to keep your most important conversations at the top of your chat list. Pinned chats stay visible even when new messages arrive, so you can quickly access priority chats, groups, channels, or Pocket without scrolling.

Prerequisites  

  • Stable Internet: A stable internet connection is required to pin/unpin a chat.

How to Pin a Chat  

You can pin up to 5 chats on the chat list. This can include direct chats, group chats, channels, and Pocket.

  • Go to your Chats screen.
  • Tap and hold the chat you want to pin.
  • Tap Pin in the menu that appears.
  • The chat will be pinned on top of your chat list.

  • The chat will be pinned on top of your chat list.

  • Go to your Chats screen.
  • Place the cursor on the chat you want to pin.
  • Click the  more menu. Select Pin.
  • The chat will be pinned on top of your chat list.

FAQs  

1. How many chats can I pin at once?
You can pin up to five chats at a time, including direct chats, group chats, channels, and Pocket.

2. Does pinning a chat notify the other person or group?
No. Pinning is private and visible only to you.

3. Will my pinned chats sync across devices?
Yes. It is an account-level setting and syncs across devices. 
​
4. Does unpinning delete or mute the chat?
No. Unpinning only removes the chat from the pinned section. All messages and notifications remain unchanged.

5. Are pins filter-specific?
A total of 5 chats can be pinned. When a chat filter is applied, only the pinned chats present in that particular filter will be displayed at the top.
