Manage Channel Notifications

Prerequisites

  • Stable Internet: A stable internet connection is required for timely delivery of notifications.
  • Device Permissions: Ensure your device allows Arattai to send you notifications.

How to Enable or Disable Channel Notifications

Android
  • Tap the  more menu on the Chats screen.
  • Go to Settings→Notifications.
  • You will find a toggle switch next to Channel.
  • Toggle it On or Off.

iOS
  • Go to Settings→Notifications & Sounds.
  • Under the Channel Messages section, there will be a Show notification option.
  • You will find a toggle switch next to it.
  • Toggle it On or Off.

Web
  • Tap the  more menu on the Chats screen.
  • Go to Settings→Notifications.
  • Under the Desktop notifications section, there will be a Channels option.
  • You will find a toggle switch next to it.
  • Toggle it On or Off.

FAQs  

1. What happens when I turn off Channel notifications?
You will stop receiving notification alerts for new Channel posts. The posts will still be available when you open the Channel.

2. Will disabling Channel notifications affect group or direct message alerts?
No. Channel notification settings apply only to Channels. Direct Messages and Group notifications are managed separately.

3. Can I manage Channel notifications differently on mobile and web?
Yes. Notification settings are platform specific. Changes made on Android, iOS, or Web apply only to that platform.
