Channel settings and configurations

As a channel admin in Arattai, you can customize and control how your channel operates.

The owners and admins of a channel can configure settings such as:

  • Subscriber permissions (reacting to messages)

  • Admin visibility (enabling admin tags)

To set permissions:

  1. Go to the channel and tap on the name of the channel at the top of your screen.

  2. Tap Channel settings (mobile)/Permissions (web).

  3. Select the permissions you would like to administer.

Reactions

As an admin, you can perform two actions with respect to reactions:

  • Enable or disable reactions for the entire channel.

  • Control what reactions subscribers can use to react to posts.

Enabling and managing reactions

To manage reactions, go to Channel settings and tap on Reactions.

  1. You can enable or disable reactions at any time.
  2. If enabled, you can select a minimum of six and a maximum of 20 reactions that subscribers can use to react to posts in the channel.
  3. Only channel owners and admins can modify the selected reactions. This includes adding new ones, deleting existing ones, or replacing them. To add more, search for an emoji or scroll to the bottom of the list and select from the suggested options. You can also reorder the selected emojis to suit your preference.

Note: If you disable reactions, all past reactions will be hidden, and subscribers will no longer be able to add new ones. You can re-enable reactions at any time to restore this functionality.

Admin tags

By enabling the Show signature toggle, all messages posted in the channel will be signed with the admin's name. This allows subscribers to identify the authors of each message.

Note that previous messages sent before enabling won't be signed.
