How to Set a Caller Tune?

Arattai lets you personalize the tune your callers hear before you answer! You can choose from two distinct options:
  1. Custom Caller Tunes: Upload your favorite music or audio clips to create a unique experience.
  2. Arattai Caller Tunes: Select from a curated collection of tunes provided directly within the app.
Prerequisites:
  • Stable Internet Connection - Ensure to have a stable internet connection.
  • App Version - Ensure you are using the latest version of the Arattai app.
  • Supported File Types - When uploading custom tunes, ensure your music file is in one of the following supported formats: audio/mpeg, audio/m4a, audio/x-m4a, audio/aac, audio/mp4, and audio/mp3.
  • Permissions - Arattai will require access to your device's storage/media library to browse and select custom music files. Ensure these permissions are granted.

Custom Caller Tunes
You can upload your own music files to use as caller tunes. You can upload up to 25 custom tunes.
  1. Tap ☰ menu → Tap ⚙️ Settings.
  2. Tap Calls & meetings → Tap Caller Tunes.
  3. Tap Custom tunes.
  1. A dialog box with Caller Tune Terms will appear. Read the terms and tap Yes, I agree.
  2. Browse and select a music file from your phone.
  3. Reposition to choose your favourite part and trim the music by moving the trimming timeline.
    You can choose up to 30 seconds, the selected segment will loop until the call ends.
  1. Tap the ⋮ more options menu to Rename your tune (optional).
  2. Tap Save.
  3. On successful upload, you can choose to set it as your caller tune by tapping on Set caller tune.
    Your custom tune will now be active for all your callers!
Note: If the upload fails due to an unstable internet connection, the tune will be saved in a 'Failed' state. You can either retry the upload or delete the tune.

Arattai provides a collection of pre-selected tunes for you to use.
  1. Tap ☰ menu → Tap ⚙️ Settings.
  2. Tap Calls & meetings → Tap Caller Tunes.
  3. Under Arattai tunes, tap any tune to preview it.
  4. Tap Set on the top right corner of the screen.
    Your chosen Arattai tune will now be active for all your callers!

Modify Custom Caller Tune
  1. Tap ☰ menu → Tap ⚙️ Settings.
  2. Tap Calls & meetings → Tap Caller Tunes.
  3. Touch and hold an uploaded caller tune until a menu appears.
  4. Tap Modify tune.
  5. Trim the music by moving the trimming timeline.
  6. Tap Save.
Rename Custom Caller Tune
  1. Tap ☰ menu → Tap ⚙️ Settings.
  2. Tap Calls & meetings → Tap Caller Tunes.
  3. Touch and hold an uploaded caller tune.
  4. Tap Modify tune.
  5. Tap the ⋮ more options menu → Rename.
  6. Enter the new name and tap Done.
  7. Tap Save.
Delete Custom Caller Tune
  1. Tap ☰ menu → Tap ⚙️ Settings.
  2. Tap Calls & meetings → Tap Caller Tunes.
  3. Touch and hold an uploaded caller tune and tap Delete.
  4. A confirmation dialog box will appear. Tap Delete to confirm.
    Deleting an active custom caller tune will set to default ringing.

  1. Open ⚙️ Settings.
  2. Tap Calls & meetings → Tap Caller Tune.
  3. Touch and hold an uploaded caller tune and tap Delete. Alternatively, swipe left on an uploaded caller tune and tap Delete.
  4. A confirmation dialog box will appear. Tap Delete to confirm.
    Deleting an active custom caller tune will set to default ringing.

  2. Go to Calls & meetings → Click Caller tune.
  3. Hover over the tune you wish to modify, then click the ⋯ more options menu.
  4. Click Modify tune.
  5. Adjust the trimming timeline as needed.
  6. Click Save.
Rename Custom Caller Tune
  1. Click ☰ menu → Click ⚙️ Settings.
  2. Go to Calls & meetings → Click Caller tune.
  3. Hover over the tune you wish to rename, then click the ⋯ more options menu.
  4. Click Modify tune.
  5. Click on the current file name to rename it.
  6. Type a new name and click Save.
Delete Custom Caller Tune
  1. Click ☰ menu → Click ⚙️ Settings.
  2. Go to Calls & meetings → Click Caller tune.
  3. Hover over the tune you wish to delete, then click the ⋯ more options menu.
  4. Click Delete.
  5. A confirmation dialog box will appear. Click Delete to confirm.
    Deleting an active custom caller tune will set to default ringing.
