Prerequisites  

  • Stable Internet: A stable internet connection is required for changes to be applied and saved successfully.

Understanding Auto-Download Media Options  

Auto-Download Media settings help you control when media files are automatically downloaded in Arattai. You can set different preferences for mobile data and Wi-Fi to manage your data usage and device storage more efficiently. 
The following media types can be managed:
  • Images
  • Audio and Video
  • Others (such as documents and files)
Note: 
  • Media that is not enabled for auto-download can still be downloaded manually from the chat.
  • On Arattai web, all media is automatically downloaded, and each can be saved manually to the device.  

How to Manage Auto-Download Media  

Auto-Download While Using Mobile Data  

Only the selected media types will download automatically when you are using mobile data.

  • Tap the  more menu on the Chats screen.
  • Go to Settings→Data & storage.
  • Find Auto-download media while using mobile data.
  • Select the media types you want to auto-download:
    • Images
    • Audio/Video
    • Others

  • Find Auto-download media while using mobile data.
  • Toggle on the media types you want to auto-download:
    • Images
    • Audio/Video
    • Others

 

Auto-Download While Connected to Wi-Fi  

Media selected here will download automatically when your device is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
